Hi All,
Had my NAPIT Full Scope Assessment today. Passed no problem and now wonder why I stressed myself about it for three weeks! Theres another ÂŁ300 down the swanny!!
I was happy with the assessment itself. Nice fella called Bob was the assessor. He gave me a decent grilling about 7671 and Building Regs, Testing, Hows and Whys, Zs's, RCD trip times, Max Ze's, Zones and IP ratings, 3 phase Installs, Etc, Etc.
He had some Q&A cards which I had to answer also, nothing too taxing though in them. He pointed out my test leads were a bit slack from overuse (though they still work ok), which is something I never noticed til then, but am glad he did as when continuity testing the figure can dance about a bit. Am buying a new set shortly.
I even managed to teach him a small snippet from GN3! We are never to old to learn eh!
Overall I would recommend anyone to NAPIT if it was based on my assessment. Did not feel any corners were cut so to speak, and a Electrical Trainee would have definately been flumoxed.
Only issue I have is I will be now deemed competant to work on industrial installs.....I am not! Done a wee bit within an industrial environment but am not at all competant!
Hope the above helps any future sparks.
