Any new products on the way? Any interesting insight's into prospects for pv in the next 12 months?

Not much new, some German companies trying to pitch £7500 5kWh battery backup systems - had interesting discussion to work out how they were G83 and Anti islanding compliant - seems they all forgot that - even the UK distributors missed it ...

Quite a few low profile / zero fix / low ballast flat roof mounting systems

A bunch of ImmerSUN wannabe's, none a patch on the real thing :)

And almost ALL the distributors pitching Solar Thermal.

Passiv Systems along with all the monitoring companies that were there clearly still don't understand what the customers really need / want when it comes to managing energy consumption and optimising your renewable assets.

No significant breakthrough's for PV, Tainwei had their mono and poly rear connections panel (no wires on the front) so claiming higher efficiencies, couldn't give me a price / W though.

The car port is a good idea 3.75kw 8k all in

Which company was offering the car ports, this is certainly a growth area so good to know deferent suppliers.

Car ports have been around from Schletter for a while, tanalised timber, simple roof mounting, couldn't possibly ever admit to having copied the idea for a couple of our rural customers, planners thought it a brilliant idea!

Must have missed the one at the show, must be when I got mometarily distracted by the lady in red (tues) green yesterday and white today ... :)

Just out of interest which ones were not compliant? We only looked at the Power Router tbh and that one looked ok on the very green face of it!

well i walked away thinking its a glorified ups supply, you would need to switch from grid to battery before it goes dark for a few hours and then switch back before it runs out.

I had a senior member of the BSI Standards Comittee with me when we spent time with Power Router, and they were one of the ones that couldn't answer the anti-islanding question. Maybe it is compliant, they weren't able to produce any information at the time to say so.

It would seem that they haven't yet thought through who their market really is.

I am talking to the uk distributor to find out because i think it looks like good option for new installs and the price didn't seem extortionate with the batteries.

Did you look at the Sun Bat? I missed this at NEC as had to leave early but looking at the website - it looks massive. I also cant seem to get any trade prices on it either - did they give you any information?

SunBat typical install cost on the SunLounge, or pm me.
