Hi all,

I am new to all of this, so please excuse my lack of knowledge and experience?

I am not a qualified electrician, just a general enthusiast, and desperately need some help and advice on the following:

- I want to permanently install a webcam, that runs off a 9V adapter inside my PC monitor (i.e. drill a hole in the monitor and have the camera visible through the hole)

- I also want to somehow, run both camera and monitor using only one plug (if possible)

- so my question is, how do I go about wiring the adapter so that I can use the monitor's power supply, but also remain safe?

All answers and advice welcome.

Thanks so much in advance,
Gareth

I would suggest you do not attempt to do what you are thinking unless you are happy to work in among high voltages that could give a nasty shock.
