Is there such a code out there for a:

Bonding to water services is connected using 6mm and is also not bonded at the stop tap (Water entry to house) but elsewhere.

Been looking over some sheets which I usually help me with codes from the Electrical safety council, but can't seem to find anything that matches the description.

Thanks

if the bonding conductor is sound and gives an acceptable resistance reading, i would give it a code 4, as it probably complied when installed. how easy is it to replace and connect crrectly adjacent to the stop tap?

Bit of a tuffy, Consumer unit is at the front of the house and stop tap is at the back, but hey!

The 6mm has no burning, etc. House in rather good condition, 1970's council house which has has no alterations at all from when it was built. That I can tell of anyway. Its nice to go into a house and not see any messed up DIY jobs at all. Saves so much time while testing.

So what code shall I go for? Or shall I split them up into 2?

One for the conductor size and one for wheree its bonded?

personally i would advise a code 4 , as the earth is connected, providing you have proven continuity correctly, and there are no signs of overheating on the cable, if there was, then a code 2 would be issued. Hope this hepls bud

agrreed. code 4 if it's OK as is, but please ensure it is connected and undamaged.
