That's different to down here then. Mrs Andy78 is a registered childminder in our home, and battery alarms suffice for our local council requirements, ofsted, and insurance purposes.
 
Thought I would update as a thank you to all the people who took the time to assist and advise, I've contacted the fire service as they do the fire safety house inspection to get daughter registered, waiting on them replying, once I know I will update

Thats a fair request from FS, for a Grade D LD3, so you will need to install a detector in ground floor hallway and any landing areas. Standard house 2 detectors. Hopefully live conductor available in Lighting rose, and 2 Aico radio bases with Optical smoke detectors.....
