I have just been given some work on a large residential home after it failed its five year inspection some of the work needed is replacement of old cables.Thats understanderble for some of it old alli cables wit no earth and very falling to peices on the lights needs replacing..But some of the sockets are also being fed with alli cable but its got an earth and is in good condition does this still need to be replaced on inspection it says new regs says it does i done 17th edition and looked in my book but couldn find it any where? Also in this place there is about fifty porcelin sinks with no cross bonding i checked at the water mains and the boiler and all pipes are cross bonded and have a main earth supplied as well so do i still need to cross bond every sink in the installation also.Allso this might sound like a no brainer but when i checked all the fuseboards there is no rcd protection at all on sockets and the whole kitchen area but it has not been highlighted in work needed to be done is there any reason for this.
