Hi Guys. I need some advice pls.

Each morning my (metallic) bed shudders or jolts violently repeatedly. This happens whenever someone enters the bathroom. I also encounter short sharp shocks and faint pulsing sensation through my mattress every 15secs for anything upto 3hrs at a time almost on a daily basis.

I know the next door neighbours have motion sensors installed - which they use to harass my family with abusive content /thumping through the walls - one of the sensors being directly opposite our bathroom - you can imagine the toilet 'humour' used - - and also in my bedroom.

On other occasions my open ironing board has rocked on the carpet - by itself - causing the red hot iron to almost topple over.

The only thing I can think of that could possibly cause my bed to move whilst I'm on it is electricity.

In the past, our lights have flickered every 15mins over a 2 week period in the run up to Halloween.

I live next to some low life neighbours & I suspect it's them.

I want to know:
1. From what I've described, do you also think this is electrical interference?

2. How is this happening??

3. Isn't it illegal to have domestic motion sensors installed which impinge on someone else's privacy??

4. How can I get this resolved? The police have been pretty useless and I'm more than pi**ed off!

I'm not sure what advice to give. It's very unlikely that the neighbours could have the resources to make something that could shake the bed or ironing board etc. Anything that could, would be extremely hazardous to them as well and very expensive to run.
The electric shocks could certainly be from amateur radio though, If they have a high power transmitter that could eaisly cause harmless but uncomfortable/painful electric shocks.
Does the neighbour have wires hanging out of windows or any big aerials or poles in the garden etc?
What exactly do you think as low life? Do you just not get on, or have arguments? If they are causing interference especially intentionally, that would not be allowed and you could report it although I'm not sure who to.

I don’t quite understand the situation? Are you saying that the neighbours motion sensors detect your movement in your house and turn on some device that affects your house?
How can your neighbours affect your bed frame?
Vibration through the walls?

If it reassures you, it's my opinion that your bed is not moving due to electrical influences from your neighbours. However, unfortunately they have got under your skin, so maybe it's easiest to just move? Hopefully you will leave your troubles behind you.

Low life as in they attacked my elderly Mother (I wasn't around at the time). The police warned them. When I had words with them, it's been non stop harassment since then....Such as looped recordings of doors & windows slamming - so it's nonstop, the same thing with the sound and accelerating engines ... which then dies mid signal... again looped recordings....played through the walls.... so many things more!

I'm in an end of terrace small house in a cul de sac where the design of each house is very similar.

Each time I leave or exit a room, go up or down the stairs an abusive comment comes through the walls - so I believe their motion sensor is also hooked up to a computer / phone.

A lot of the the times this is accompanied by a loud thump or some loud noise which is of course alarming. I can only put this down to motion sensors?

I'm not an expert hence I've come to your forum for help.

My main concern is the electricity problem.

It is hazardous, it causes palpitations, often I feel sick.

It's mainly focused in my bedroom - I believe from their adjacent bedroom room - which I don't believe they use as a bedroom and so would be vacated whilst I'm suffering.

On a couple occasions my mattress got inexplicably hot, making my limbs hot - waist down - & I could feel a pulling vibrating force. I've had a near miss electrocution many years before so I know what it feels like...it's not an experience you forget.

I've been thinking the same thing in terms expense. The neighbours aren't the type of ppl to do this at their own expense and it's incessant!

I can't see any exposed wires.

We use a pre paid meter and sometimes can't justify the consumption on the meter.

Could our system have been hacked? I refer back again to our ceiling lights flashing at times intervals?

I'm not moving and it's not that easy.
We've lived peaceably with all previous neighbours except this lot. We're not trouble makers.

One observation is that my bed is directly over the ceiling lights in the living room down stairs. Can manipulation of the living room lights be a cause of my bed jolting?

There must be someone here that can help me?

You might need to get an electrician in to test your installation. They will be able to find out if there’s been any meddling with your system.
Has these neighbours ever had access to your house? Keys?
Is there a party wall separating the properties in the attic? Same under the ground floor. Is there a cellar.

I don’t think the jolting is caused by anything electrical.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Sometimes easiest to fight fire with fire.

What area in London do you live?

For the meter, turn everything off/unplug, check the meter at start and end of day.

@littlespark
We've never given them access to our keys. But around the time it all kicked off my Mum did lose her keys.

I mentioned my concerns to the police about shared access via the attic, he was going to take a look but he was too big (tall, big build). I'd like to take a look myself but am afraid of falling through the ceiling. Good pointers though - thank you.

Would any electrician be able to tell or do I need a specialist electrician
?

I am not sure if the forum is the place to be discussing BDSM and other sexual practices..
I am sure a lot of us have experience hot tingling feelings in the bedroom when there has been a pulling sensation below the waist!
Although it sounds as if you might be describing erotic electro stimulation. you need to be careful as get it right it can lead to immense happiness get it wrong and its good night.
Think you should find yourself a local master or dominatrix to safely indulge your 'interests'.
