neon sign

Hi,
been asked by a sign company to put the power to a neon sign. Don't no very much about this set up I do no it needs a fireman switch outside but thats about it. Do you usually put it on its own circuit etc? what size cable and mcb is the normally used? Any advice on this would be great.

Blimey,

Did only one and that was years ago, but yes, firemans switch outside the front door, but its high voltage and low current, which the supply company should provide the correct transformer, so a dedicated circuit on a 6 or 10A MCB.

i fit loads. most transformers pull less than 2 amps so really you need to know what the loading is. as has been said, firemans switch outside and local isolation near where transformers will go
