If you disconnect the neutral of a lighting circuit from the cu when the power is still on, then the current will flow through the lamps and the neutral will equal the same potential as the live side.
totally wrong!!!!! there is NO current flow, therefore zero volt drop. that's why you get the 240V on the disconnected neutral
