My thoughts exactly, but you just have to smile and nod until they sign on the line!
They do seem to have a daft little fad each year to pick on.
The year before I got a lecture on how the brown of the three core in a 2way should be used as whichever strapper has the permanent live on it, not in the common.
I tried to explain that the 2way switch he was looking at was wired from a jb with the common of one switch being live and the other common being switch live. He just ignored me and carried on with the lecture!

Aye well .... that serves ye right. Did yer Ma never tell you; NEVER argue with a lunatic or a policeman??
