Hello,
My first post here so apologies for any mistakes/breaking of the rules etc! Ive tried to read the rules and think this is the right place etc.
Im currently building a new build home and with windows going in next week and the roof pretty much watertight - its time to start confirming my plans for wiring etc.
Ive got in my head what i want to do in the main for internet and potential future whole house audio. Where i'm looking for help is the TV/video area as all the reasearch done so far has left my head spinning (or i could just install a few of everything!)
I will be living in the house for a while, but planning to sell it on relativley soon. I dont watch TV myself, anything I do would be online/dvd at best. However, I want to future proof the property and add value for future owners as best i can.
Ive identified rooms and locations where TV/Screens are likely to end up in all major rooms, and i want to know what cabling people would advise to install to these points. I will have power here (obviously) and 2 x data points at present (for internet to screen and connection to future audio system)
- Do i need any more data points - or would I even get away with 1?
- TV/Ariel connection - what cabling & how many?
- For my whole house audio, I'm running speaker cables to a central point. Do I need to add anything other than a data run (or two) to the TV/Screen points?
Any advice would be appriciated
Thanks in advance!!
