A Pal as asked me if I know of anyone who can run a mains feed to a new build he just completed. yeh i know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me out on 1) Who does he contact ?
2) How long would it take ?
3) Price ?
4) Does he need any planning etc ?

1) DNO me thinks
2) I dunno
3) Quite a bit I think
4) Doubt it

Not really sure on it all but if he is after a supply first contact would be DNO.

Well i dont think there is anything else to add, other than costs will depend on DNO and where they can tap in.

So..

1) Yep, contact DNO
2) More than likely a few weeks.
2) DNO dependant but prob £500 upwards
4) No planning required.

Hope I don`t worry you, but a builder I know was quoted £50000 for a supply recently by EDF - This barn conversion was over a km away from the nearest mains and that was 11kv and would have had to be rerouted across a field then transformed down then trenched into the barn:eek:
