Kate - I'm thinking that your labour rate is too cheap! I thought I was 'competitive' but that's just daft rates.

i know, believe me i know!!! many of my customers tell me im too cheap, or even ask if im sure its enough. but by then its too late. i have had a couple give me extra money!! Im slowly trying to charge more. I didnt plan to go self employed, i had a few builders beg me to do some electrics as they couldnt get anyone else at the time. had no experience of pricing. I can honestly say no one under cuts me! I get regular work off of one builder, and hes learnt to put his own price in to a customer as he knows mine will be cheaper and he pockets the difference!

when I first started I did not like being put on spot for price so I would always email over (now I dont care) but really helped at time
wish i could say thats the excuse but its not! mine are so cheap after hours of thinking!

Yeah bonding is in place. Kate charge more mate. Cost of living isn't going down.

i dont pay to live yet. dont pay rent or bills and dont buy food. except specific food i want there and then

It's very tough in Oldham, too many cowboys under pricing jobs well below the quotes that I given.

Then when the job goes wrong then they remember me!

£60-70 that's for roughly 4 hours work
