need advice
Im a qualified sparks been doing house bashing, pubs and offices for 6 years throught my apprentership, done 17th, got cscs and in process of starting 2391 corse. But want to finish on the tools and get into electrical designing, any ideas how to go about it?
Do i have to do CAD course or anything..........

Any thoughts much appreciated

A cad course would be useful, if you want to design whole buildings etc then your going to have to do hnc then foundation degree maybe the full degree as well! a lot of work and a lot of maths but if thats what you want then go for it!!

Hi, Yes learn AutoCad and a program like Hevacomp electrical design software or similar would be helpful. NBS for building specifications also helps. Do some agency work to pick up a bit of experience. Degree nice to have but not required like everything in life you can either do it or you cant. Employers can quickly see if you have sufficient knowledge. Advantage you have is that you come from the tools and understand the issues on site have confidence in yourself and go for it. Hope it works out well for you.
