New EICR are we doing them? Or PIR?

FellasI've been asked to do two PIR this weekend, is there anything to say I cant do the new EICR instead?, the forms are available from Napit, is anybody else doing them?Cheers

yep, I'm doing them. In the transitional period you can use either (til Jan 12). But I think, why wait and just get on with it.

That's a good point, if it's a commercial customer, there could be problems with insurance company acceptance.

Other than that, you can certainly use the new EICR, here's the new Best Practice Guide for Electrical Installation Condition Reporting-well worth a read....

The current model forms are a MINIMUM requirement, the Amendment 1 forms are more extensive so you can use either.

both customers asked for PIR, both been told by estate agents/councils, i doubt estate agents have heard of EICR yet?, PIR it is then
