You’ll have to put it on an RCD at 12.01 so make sure @Taylortwocities ‘aka’ Cinderella is back on the coach by 12 midnight!

Lol I had no idea what an RCD is just googled it. Ps I have no electrical knowledge but I want to attempt this conversion with your guys guidance... so do I just buy a e22 socket? or do u guys need to see the internals of the tube fixture first?

It will be from the pendant cover at the ceiling that we’ll want a picture of.
We’ll go from there albeit against the forum regulations - wonder if the moderators have passed out yet from the Babysham intake!
Schools out for Summer.

Okay, I will get hold of a picture. Why is it against forum regulations? I’m still just obtaining advice?? lol appreciate all your guys advice

We’re not allowed to give step by step instructions in case you slip and put your foot through the 65” OLED and sue us!

Lol well I’m definitely not going to be doing that. You can use this statement as proof that I am solely obtaining advice and everything I do is under my own responsibility and liability. Ps wish I had a 65” OLED !!

I wisked through Curries PC world today and saw a 65” OLED and it was wafer thin! How can they do that? I must be one great big PCB with feet on it! and only £995 while stocks last!

Yeah, OLED tv’s are beautiful! Dunno how they’ve done it, that’s a really good price for a 65” oled. Did u not wanna get it?

i'd replace that with a LED fitting. about £25 for the part and £35 for the time to fit, if it was local. i have a spark mate in Altrincham, and there are a few members in manc. area would be happy to oblige.

Yeah but I’m trying to convert it into a bulb socket so I can put in a smart WiFi bulb? — but thanks for pointing out electricians in the area. Was attempting to see if I can be guided to be able to do it myself. Any ideas? Thanks for your reply.

Maybe you could use something like this with your existing light then..

where are you thinking of planting this smart w-fi bulb. ?if it's smart, it might migrate to a neighbour's garden where the soil is more fertile.

This is actually very interesting. Thank you did not know this existed but problem is the current Tube light is wonky and doesn’t fit with the room set up hence trying to make it into a smart bulb to connect with Alexa... hmm.

Hahaha genuinely had a good laugh at that. So the idea is to change the whole set up at the tube light into a bulb somehow so I can just screw in a smart WiFi bulb which works with Alexa...
