New home. Is it 3 phase?

Hi,

just moved in, and I find this, and haven’t seen anything like it before.
Is this 3 phase?
any concerns at all?
There is a heated pool outside. Could be needed for the pool heater.

1st post, and I thought I’d seek some guidance on here. Many thanks for replies.

Nothing to worry about can be seen in the picture

Hopefully those taped off connections top right are not live incoming tails to the disconnected circuit.

Yes large switch with the red yellow and blue circles is a 3phase switched fuse . the unit marked up pool is single phase 1 way consumer unit. Do you have a picture of your main electric meter ? As SJD says I would want to check where those disconnect cables go to or come from.

Thanks, I’ll have another look when I’m at the property tomorrow.
Looks like I should get those cables checked out and removed by someone qualified.
On the plus side I’m now thinking 3 phase could come in useful when I go electric car. Not yet however.

Certainly looks like a 3 phase supply , but intrigued to know what looks like only Red and Yellow phase stickers on the enclosure to the right of the RCD so taped cables 2phases + N + g/y earth?

That's a 3 phase residual device, top right, one phase to Wylex single phase RCD unit for the pool.
It looks like the unused switch/breaker was for 2 phases (red, yellow) and N tails seem to be disconnected and taped. The CU is labelled 'blue', with another RCD....It may be that blue phase only is in use.
Interesting to see the metering system. It needs some investigation and a bit of sorting out, for sure, but looks pretty sound in general.

Surely you mean 2nd from top right, the Wylex unit?
If you are right about the unit top right being another RCD unit there doesn't appear to be a lot of discrimination going on as doubt the 3ph RCD is S type but job to tell from the photo!
Perhaps disconnected tails were something to do with the E7 supply ?

Yup it is 3 phase.
The radio teleswitch responds to a broadcast signal to switch on/off the off peak supply.

Presumably the meter cabinet is within a few metres distance of the consumer unit? At first I had visualised the 3-phase switchfuse and its 4-pole RCD as the incomer but evidently it's an outgoing submain therefore there are no cascaded RCDs. It looks like the teleswitch output is Henley-blocked to two pairs of tails, one of which probably goes to the Wylex SF far left. Therefore the disconnected circuits top right appear to have red phase on E7 and yellow on 24h, so perhaps a complete storage heating system has been decommissioned.

Good chance, looking at the second photo. They may be back to back, even. Blue phase on the right (meter box) going in to the CU on the left. If so, what's the Exel feeding?
May be an upgraded plant room for the 'heated' swimming pool, looking at the 45A SP Wylex....

Yes I think the consumer unit marked swimming pool is probley for the pump etc and as the op says the 3phase switched fuse is forthe heater.

Yes, the meter cabinet is on an outside wall of the utility room near the consumer unit inside.
