im starting a new job soon and was just after a quick bit of advice.

what kind of kit do you guys need for cold rooms working in food factories etc?

Yeah it's true. I found out that half the brickies on a site were wearing them one winter ! Not daft they weren't though, I tried it and those buggers keep you toasty warm under your work trousers.

I've upgraded to full length merino wool base layers now though for cold work and for winter bike rides and such. Now those are great but not as sexy as tights obviously. ;)

I agree if you need one of those padded suits I have seen worn before, it is classed as PPE and should be provided. Sounds like a conscientious firm you are working for though so they should be alright
