hi, hola, bonjour! This is my 1st post ever on any forum or indeed on the www! I have recently finished a 2 year college course on electrical installation and testing (city & guilds 2330-2331) and am now trying to find my way in the slightly daunting world of domestic installation in the hope of becoming my own boss but more importantly becoming the best damn spark around!! My first job i have completed is the re wire of a bungalow which was great to get my teeth into and not too challenging. My next is an extention to a house with new garage, expansion of kitchen an additioal rooms. My questions will be many but 1st important one is current cu installed is full and seems most practical solution is to add a 4/6 way cu mounted in new garage, is henley block best practice and does it need to be in any type of enclosure. Would appreciate any info/feeback and am more than open to constructive critisisem (not sure thats spelt right!?!)

Many thanks chaps and chapets

Hi welcome to the forum (or all forums!) good first post!

You would also need to complete the electrical installation certificate.
Henley blocks (or equivalent) is the easiest way forward, good chance also to install an isolator after the meter to avoid having to get supply disconnected next time a change is due. No particular enclosure is required unless there are external influences to consider.
Depending on your earthing arrangement's you may need to increase to a 16mm2 earthing conductor.
