Hi I have 2 lights running from 1 switch, the power is going directly into switch then onto lights using the neutrals joined behind switch method.can I now take power from this using a junction box to new lights using loop method or do I have to join neutrals in new switch? thanks

Do you mean can you extend the circuit form the existing switch? If so then you can use the loop method or go to the new switch with the perm live and neutral and then to your new light.
I may have not understood your question, Im a bit confused about the junction box.
