Good evening all. Just a quick introduction , I am a 34 yr old, married father of 2, former block paver who got bored of chuckin blocks down and headed to college on level 2 , 2365. I am working 2 days a week with am electrical contractor and will begin day release and 2357 in September. Thought I'd sign into the forum for advice as I will definitely need it in the coming years. Kind regards.

Welcome aboard mate and don't forget to check out the trainee section, loads of useful college stuff in there.

Thanks all for welcoming me aboard. Lee sparky Kent, cheers mate , the apprenticeship 2357 is the only way to go if one wants to be taken seriously from my research. I'm a bit daunted by the length of time on low wages but I am committed to becoming fully qualified and decent! I am of the understanding that it'll take 4 years? Its a long road ahead and at the moment I'm working for lunch! Does anyone reckon I can sail through the 2357 any quicker? I am a fairly intense individual having ran a few marathons!

Good on you mate! Not to sure about how long the 2357 takes to complete but I'm sure some one on here will know. I noticed in your OP that you said you were a block paver maybe you could chuck some blocks down at the weekend to top the training wages up.
