Just got off the phone to elecsa and apparently after December 31 2011 you will need an nvq level 3 or equivalent to register on any part p scheme. Has anyone got any ideas what the equivalents might be ?
Think this is going to effect alot of people

There is got to be a loop hole here, I wonder if the schemes will now be the QS themselves?

They have an army of assessors who once a year re-assess us so would it be that much harder for them to now offer the Joe sparks a service of where they "counter sign off your work" for a price perhaps 25 pound a job or adopt another level of scope from 1. the kitchen fitter part scope 2 the QS service and 3 fully qualified.

Well I live in Scotland so whats part P ? but joking aside yet again this is a mess and as always all we can do is stand back and watch it like a slow motion car crash will the authorities ever get their act together

Nail on head there malcolm, though from a discussion on another thread it's not a wholly bad idea as members are under constant scrutiny

You can be sure of one thing, ...these providers will be making money out of this one way or another, they sure won't be losing any money!! Excuse the pun, but you can take that baby to the bank!! haha!!
