buried in plaster is classed as ref c so maybe its not clipped direct.

Just as long as it's not a long run, doesn't pass through insulation, isn't bunched or taken through oval conduit, then yes, buried in plaster is fine.
Still find it hard to believe that the manufacturers instructions would stipulate 10mm with a 50A OCPD...

Its these ridiculous 10.5KW at 240volt showers that require the 50A supplies.
