Newbie question…wiring a transformer…

My transformer came in. I’m assuming the “IN” goes to the power cord from the wall and the “OUT” goes to the 12v MR16 bulb?

should be fine. just check if the LED MR16 is polarity conscious. ( + and - ).

Hmm…didn’t work. I hear noise from the transformer, but no light. Maybe the bulb is bad…

Is this the same LED that was connected to 120V by mistake? If so it will be short-circuited inside and will put the transfomer into overload lrotection mode.

It appears that you are right but the 2 whites is what’s confusing me as being you line side.
