looks OK to me. couple of questions..... what cable do you intend using for the sowers, what rating are they, and the installation method of the shower cables? reason for asking is that you may need to use 10mm.

I'm with tel, but as the cost isnt too much more, stick 10mm in anyway, and the jobs a good un. Or even better, dont fit crappy electric showers, get one on your hot and cold from the boiler, much much better.

Cheers............Howard

Bigbaddave- it's been a while since I've been to college but that's what I was taught. If you have rewired any old houses or buildings you would know they used to protect 1.5mm cables with a 16Amp breaker. But you made me get the books out. Here is the table and it shows I'm pretty close. www.batt.co.uk/upload/files/4d5.pdf

Sorry Dave did explain myself very well in regards to the maximum cable carrying capacity. The uk used to rate cables higher but for maximum safety reduced them 10fold. Alot of country's rate there cables higher than the Uk but country's like Hong Kong which were once British ruled still work with BS7671 as a guide but rate them way higher (the old way) and not forgetting its like 20degress hotter. If you look into (code of practice for the Electricity (Wiring) regulations 2009) PDF. No more speeches from me lol
