He was trying to claim that average energy bills will rise by a mere £22 by 2020. A totally indefensible position and Paxman soon made mincemeat of him.

I was waiting for the mauling over Green Deal - maybe another day ..... I'm glad that we're only going to have to pay that extra £22 I'm completely reassured now. HOw can they not see how laughable statements like that are??

because they think we're stupid enough to believe them, which I find quite insulting actually!!
