You would think so but I don't know over here, they all seem to make their own rules up !
I maybe wrong but haven't Scotland got a couple of scams that aren't recognised here could be the same principle, for you stroma doesn't operate or just isn't recognised in your area.

that's discrimination they are not allowed to say that .
They are free to specify whatever they want. As Soulsurfer stated contractors are either NIC or Napit in Jersey. There is also no ECA in Jersey - there is the Jersey ECA. (It doesn't offer assessment or certification services though to my knowledge.)
Stroma doesn't exist here either.
They won't accept Stroma over here Pat so am only allowed to be on Nic or Napit.
Hi there as the Channel islands are part of the EU they cannot refuse to recognize Stroma or any other approved body. Sounds as if they need to be refered to Strasbouge So Mr Junkers can have a word in their shell like ear

You should check your facts.
Neither the Bailiwick of Jersey nor the Bailiwick of Guernsey have ever been part of the EU (or of the UK for that matter).
I wasn't asked to show documents, but was asked about the Construction (Design and Management) Regs 2015 (in force in GB). Although, the Bailiwicks I see are only Crown Dependencies, so doubt it applies. However, there is a simple app you can download, just in case you do get asked, nudge nudge, wink wink
Well I am very supprised at that as I believe that as Bermuda is a Crown Property and is subject to EU regulation..however I will bow to your superior Knowlage on the matter

You'll have to trust me. I spent the best part of a year living and working in Jersey (wonderful place - still miss it) and had visitors bring me duty free as it is not in the EU or the UK. It's why with a UK mobile you could get a dear roaming bill too if you didn't have a Jersey mobile.
Thanks for the info...guess I will not br able to do any work in Jersey
