As title ,does anyone make a socket with a built in night light ,there are plenty of US ones but can't find a UK one .

Welcome to the forum mate.

Why would you want a socket with a built in night light when you can but something like this

This way, if the circuit ever needs testing then testing may be limited because of the built in night light. With the above you can just remove it.

I saw this for sale on Amazon and think it looks better than plug in night lights which remind me getting old . I know its American but if they are selling them ,Im sure it will come this way soon .

I love those American double outlets!
With a few judicious strokes of a Sharpie you can produce some very amusing pics!
The 3 light streams on that one would really show the effort involved...but if you haven't seen any of the instagram cartoons those comment will be lost on you, sorry...

My guess is an earth to N fault in the damaged light fitting. This will become a problem when other devices draw large currents.
