Hi everyone hopefully someone can shed some light.

I'm doing an inspection and test and upon testing my end to end for the live on a ring main I've found there is no end to end on the live. I've tested at sample socket and at the board. I got an r1 + r2 when interconnecting my lives and cpcs and a Zs. Just want to make I'm not missing something obvious. It's not my test kit as I've already tested two other ring mains

Thanks in advance

Hope you feel better soon

I've only been banned twice actually. nowt much changes though! I thought people doing I&T were supposed to be of a certain sort of experience level? Just saying.
I think that were sums it up pretty well. The trade these days, eh!
I don't know about maintenance free joint boxes..... we've got as far as maintenance free sparks.

Are you a sparky?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every one has got to start somewhere that's how. Did you know everything you know now when you just started working 60 years ago???
No, I didn't, obviously, but you are missing the point. Undertaking EICR's is something that should be done once the person doing it has attained a sufficient level of expertise and experience, by working generally in the trade. EICR's are not something that you should use to "practice" on or learn from your mistakes.
