No Reversing lights or Parking Sensors

Hi guys,

I have a Ford Transit Connect LWB, 07 plate.

Recently I haven't had any reversing lights or beepers for longer than 10 seconds without blowing a fuse.
Switch on gearbox has continuity and works.
Rear light clusters have power, and wires seem okay. I have put in new bulb holders -no luck.
I have removed bulbs and tried - no luck.
I have disconnected the parking sensors as they join the loom, no luck.

I am going to try disconnecting the parking sensor module at the front, I don't hold a lot of hope for It though.

Anyone have any ideas?

If the fuse is blowing then it is likely that there is a short somewhere, possibly check where cables pass through bodywork and see if the insulation may be scraped through so the wire touches on to the bodywork.
Since there is a time delay it sounds like only a partial fault, but since you have removed the bulbs and the sensors there can only be the wiring left.

If it's a canbus system it could be a fault on the control module.

Is it the same time every time or is it the same point in the reverse cycle it blows. If it's the same time it will probably be electronics causing the problem, if it's the same point in the reverse it may be a chaffed wire. If the reverse light switch is located on the gearbox check the route of the cable, it might have chaffed through where it has been misrouted. If so reroute it and make good the insulation. This is from 1st hand experience that a garage couldn't find and charged me a fortune. It took me quite a few days to suss it out but I did find it.
