Noisy contactor

Hi all. Installed a 40A CPN contactor in a board for ufh, not my favourite make, but the only 16 way the wholesalers had at the time. The problem ive got is that the contactor is buzzing/screaming. All conections are tight and its the same on the replacement CPN contactor. Ive had no problems with Contactum contactors in the past. Is it just the sh**y CPN make or something with the install?

Not sure about 'screaming' but if contactors buzz I normally crack them open and clean the end of the laminations where them meet together when it operates. If it still buzzes after that then I'd replace it. Obviously check the simple stuff first such as low voltage at the coil or incorrect coil voltage or DC instead of AC.

Thanks marvo. But it's a 3 module din rail mounted, enclosed contactor.

Either:
A/ if you can get to the contactor armature, hit it
B/ replace it
