Hi everyone.

Just found your forum and wondered if anyone could help.

I've come across a non standard socket and need to find out where I can get one.

There doesn't appear to be any manufacturers marks to indicate who makes it, but it is basically a 13amp 3 pin type with one major difference. The pins are all 90 degrees out. So the earth pin is horizontal and the live and neutral are vertical.

Whenever i search anywhere for non standard sockets i only ever get results for MK's T shaped earth pin, and this is not what i'm looking for.

Would appreciate any light that could be shed on this.

Thankyou.

Paul.

p.s. the reason I'm looking for these is I have been asked to PAT test the items plugged into these sockets so I need to either find an adaptor lead or make one myself.

Thanks for the prompt response roukel01.

That looks like the one.

Fingers crossed though that they may be ripping all these out and replacing them now anyway so i'm hoping problem solved.

Thanks Golden Boy, yes, i'd heard that too, some bright spark has made up some 4 gang extension leads (standard type) but with these plugs on, so now anyone can plug anything in. Makes you laugh.
