Nice board the ses, but being one of the old timers, wondered if cable tieing cables in a board is a new thing ?

I know you labeled the cables so would make tracing a circuit easy, but I was always taught not to tie cables like that. There was also the myth about "letting cables breath" which to be honest I never thought was that relevant.

I suppose it's like taping circuits in trunking, again something I was trained not to do, and in conduit, well I would have been shot.

I cable tied the neutral leads from the rcbo's because otherwise they float all over the place
Im not too worried about it

nice one SES , i got into the habit of using ties this was after using square D boards with RCBO's the dam curly neutral leads doesnt matter how hard you straighten them they still go back to being curly and looked a right mess , not tieing the cables to let them breath as malcom has pointed out is quite correct as with all cables you have to take the grouping factor into consideration , but i nearly always tie the cables in three phase boards

That sounds about right, i dunno how it happens but they seem to get away with it though. I couldn't sleep at night if I did anything wrong myself.

Yes i called elecsa and they wouldnt touch him unless i provided evidence including reg numbers contravined and then they said they would just send him back to redo the work
