That sounds about right, i dunno how it happens but they seem to get away with it though. I couldn't sleep at night if I did anything wrong myself.

And that's the problem. You couldn't sleep at night if you did anything wrong (me either come to that) but these muppets don't KNOW they've done anything wrong! They think they're doing Rolls Royce jobs...

Yes i called elecsa and they wouldnt touch him unless i provided evidence including reg numbers contravined and then they said they would just send him back to redo the work

Scheme providers. Thats ALL they're interested in. Providing a scheme and charging for it! Its a completely useless, unpoliced system that helps no one it proports to help.

Nice board the ses, but being one of the old timers, wondered if cable tieing cables in a board is a new thing ?

I know you labeled the cables so would make tracing a circuit easy, but I was always taught not to tie cables like that. There was also the myth about "letting cables breath" which to be honest I never thought was that relevant.

I suppose it's like taping circuits in trunking, again something I was trained not to do, and in conduit, well I would have been shot.

Nice job mate please I'm not criticizing at all, just wondering

Malc - was always taught not to tie cables at college and at work, however on working on some of the blue book jobs, all cables must be tied up in panels and in fuseboards in perfect groups etc. They are really fussy about it.
I always prefer them not to be tied as I feel like 'the bad man' when I rip it all apart to replace/move a circuit !
