not getting 240v

im a builder just finished refurbishing a house and had a call from the house owner saying hes only getting about 195 volts out of his living room sockets does anyone know why this could be?

thats nothing i had on a PIR last year 26 double outlets spread between 3 bedrooms!!

loose connection, low voltage, high resistant joint, heat damage, fire, death.... refurb = rebuild at his expense on his insurance!!

how the hell would a customer who i am assuming has limited electrical knowledge be able to tell what voltage he is getting in the lounge....I mean i went to college for 3 years got all the bits of paper to wave round and now customers are telling us what kind of voltage they are getting...????????

You could get significant volt drop when wired in bell wire....

use steel trunking as radiator. make sure it's got 22yards of green/yellow clipped to it.
