Headline in our local evening paper, The Yorkshire Evening Post Leeds.

Yet another lowlife moron is pictured on the front page displaying his well earned burns and scars:D with the usual "lucky to be alive" headline. He's been stealing cable, or at least trying to.

When will these idiots learn. My opinion is he is unlucky to be alive, cos if the pillock was dead he couldn't try it again could he.

My only sympathy in all this is for the people who were put out cos they couldn't get their trains home or came home to no power to make their tea after a hard days work, and the hospital staff who had to put the loser back together again wasting more of our NHS cash and occupying a much needed bed for which could be better used.

Surely even to the simplest of beings it is obvious that electricity can kill, and you shouldn't play with live cables.....or am i missing something here!

Cheers.........Howard

Doesn't matter what is said or done there will be numpties that will try and pinch it while it is still live.

If someone was killed whilst nicking the cable I would not be surprised read that their family is trying to sue someone because they had died.

Just like if a burglar falls over something you've left lying around in your own home they can sue you.....

I think more of these articles are needed - it seemed the guy was talking about it as if 'everyone goes out nicking copper, you just don't expect this kind of thing to happen to you' - these chavs need to be made to understand that if you go around cutting through live cables you could get a lot worse than just being scarred for life.

I'll tell you one thing, this ***** is getting a hair transplant cos he lost some hair in the incident. I know it sounds stupid but I'm going a bit thin on top, I like to wear my hair long but it's all going to have to come off soon as I'm so threadbare. Now I've worked pretty hard all my life and paid all my texes and national insurance etc, so how come this pond life can have a hair transplant on the NHS and I can't? I know it's silly but that but wound me up even more than these sort of stories usually do!

I'm not saying I should be able to have one on the NHS by the way, I'm just saying he bloody shouldn't. And if he ever gets an honest job (yea, right) he should be made to pay back all his hospital bills, too.

Reading that article makes it look like he may try and sue! The unit was already open? I didn't even touch the cable but got a shock? Mind you he's from Cross Green, he won't have the intellect to take it to court.

Oh great he is still alive, not only is he draining the NHS, which he should have to pay back should he ever work, he will probably get some disability allowance for the eye and hand, so that will be cash, car and home taken care of.

I was telling a customer of mine earlier about idiots like him.
