Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone completed the new nvq 2357, and what the new am2 intels? How long roughly does it take to complete

I'm 21 months into the 2357 and have 3 theory units left then it's all about the logbook with practical experience. You might want to check out the following link for details about the AM2.

I would say give yourself 3 years at least to complete the full course and have sufficient experience to start in the industry. Trust me when i say it is no cakewalk so don't expect to become an electrician after a few weeks of training, your on a slippery slope if you think you are qualified suitably to do the same job as someone who has a minimum of 3 years on the tools.

Good luck with your training

I did my NVQ a couple of years back now and as I was a sole trader as a mate, I was my employer, so they just let me sign both bits
