Thanks for all the great feedback we have received on this forum, really appreciated.

As most of you are aware, the NVQ 2356 final registration date is approaching on 31/12/12 and as such we are offering a registration only option for those who want to complete this NVQ later in 2013. This basically means that instead of paying for the whole course now, you can pay a registration fee of £125.00 which will secure your registration and enrolment onto this qualification. You will receive a City & Guilds enrolment number and when you want to start your NVQ you simply continue to pay in monthly installments or pay the balance, its up to you.

The benefit of this option is that it allows you to avoid paying extra for the NVQ in 2013 as we know that the price of the NVQ will increase quite significantly in 2013. So, if you are interested, complete the application form on our website stating that you want registration only.

I would recommend anyone who needs there NVQ to sign up with Xs as I found them to be very helpful and professional and would sign up for this before the registration end date as with the coming changes for all qualifications then as everyone knows the price will increase and this offer will give you the option to stagger payments and start the NVQ when you chose before the fianl end date
Cheers to the staff at Xs who helped me achieve my NVQ lv3
Thanks again

what do you mean? why will the nvq be significantly dearer in 2013?

are you talking about 2357 being more expensive, or 2356?

if it's 2356, and someone has 1 module to complete, how much are you going to charge them?

If someone is already on the 2356 and they have anything to complete they will NOT get charged as they would have already been registered on the 2356. They will have up to 3 years to complete it without paying anything extra at all.

The registration alone for the 2357 is about £100 more than the 2356, together with the mandatory AM2 etc and you are talking quite a substantial increase in costs. So, we are advising get on the 2356 NOW rather than paying extra later. It does not matter who you do it with (of course we would like it to be XS Training) but to save costs etc register for the NVQ 2356 now rather than paying more later.

ah, ok. so in your first post you were referring to the 2357 when you said it would be significantly dearer?

at the college i went to, i believe you had to pay every year - if it took you 5 years, you had to pay 5 times. from what you say above, am i right in thinking that you only charge one flat fee and it doesn't matter if you take 2, 3, 5, however many years to complete it? (obviously it's 2 now).

i've been desparately trying to convince my mate to go for this qualification before it's too late. but with the lack of work, it's proving a difficult task. can you tell me how much the 2356 costs, and i'll pass the info' on. cheers.

Yeah, just one payment for the NVQ, no yearly fees etc.

The last certification date is December 2015, so this is the last date we can claim a certificate from City & Guilds, you will have up to 3 years to complete but most people manage to complete it between 3 to 8 months at a steady pace. The only stipulation is that you have at least two years work experience and are not a "new entrant" to the industry. New Entrants have to complete their AM2 and will need site visits as well.

Prices start from £550 plus vat, so if your mate has 2330 level 2 and 3 (or equivalent 236 pt 1 & 2 etc) and more than two years exp, the cost will be £550 plus vat.

Cheers

I've been in the industry for 18 months, currently studying my 2330 level 2 at college. I have a 'fair understanding' of most things. Will this be right for me yet or should I wait?
