can any one tell me the correct procedure for fitting an import/export meter and obtaining the mpan number for a 40kw system?

Your DNO will provide you with a MPAN,
When you have number contact a meter service company example like siemans they will quote cost for installing meter and half hour billing.
But if your not exporting a lot could be a waste of time,
Im sure others on here will explain in detail

some DNO's won't deal direct with the installer and want you to go through the electricity company you're going to register with for FITs.

Your first port of call should really be to the DNO to ask them how to go about it, and take it from there.

Dosnt sould like you are wanting a new supply so its on the mpan will be on the clients lecy bill export meter has a serial number the same as all the generation meters you have fitted which you need to give to the fit provider worthwhile shoppin arround as standing charges vary a bit
