Hi everyone , i just installed a pir switch in small toilet , with a fan that has no overrun timer ,when the fan is on the light will not switch off ! when fan is isolated the light goes off fine , any ideas why this should be , thanks

It looks like you have both fan and light wired in parallel so whats the problem I take this is what you are trying to acheive or in other words you need to explain how you want it to work ie person enters toilet and the light + fan comes on.

Mind you do you realise that if you stand still the pir will switch off the circuit bad news for a guy who has had a few beers

What type of PIR are you using is it a stand alone ie type you would find in screwfix and if so does it have a timer pot on it because say you have it turned up to 15 minutes then it is not going to switch off if you pop back in the room every 5 minutes to see whats up
