Just wondering how many of you out there are actually suffering from the daily physical activities associated with our industry, I'm sure most of us have suffered from bad backs, knees and diminishing eyesight etc, I for one can tick a couple of those boxes. I am currently suffering from RSI in my forearm caused by the tightening of cables and fixings over the years (and not due to any monkey smacking before any one asks). My symptoms have become more severe since being diagnosed over 7 years ago and seem to be with me most of the time now. Does any one else suffer from this?

Been in the game 30+ years. Back plays up now and then - Had trapped sciatic nerve which rendered me unable to walk for a week, literally crying in pain. Doc gave me strong pain killers which left me zonked out so I went to a chiropractor who straightened my back out with some very quick pulls and stretches over a couple of weeks, Then once straightened but still in pain I went to a guy who comes locally recommended and is used by a local football team and several other amateur "athletes" and also a few guys going through army/para training (two very different things but he has many instances of "sorting" out both). Anyway he advertises as a sports massage therapist and does his stuff in his spare room and charges ÂŁ25 for 30 mins. 1 visit to the second guy and I was off my painkillers - 4 visits over 4 weeks and I was basically "cured". I get the odd twinge now and again and maybe go back to the masseuse a couple of times per year for a maintenance rub down. Works for me well worth the cash.
Apart from that I have a weak left eye from being an idiot during my apprenticeship, Drilling trunking without the glasses/goggles on, Eye has never been right since.
Also carpel tunnel syndrome which I think came from using drills before they became modern lol, I have this in both wrists/hands but so far have refused the operation's that im told I will eventually have to have, I can manage the pain/numbness at the moment so there is no need to let the butcher near me.
God I sound like im knackered lol...but the reality is im fit enough to do most of what I could when I fist started out, well maybe without the crawling around attics...but that's for the young ones anyway.
