offshore advice

Hi guys, Is there anybody out there who has managed to make the leap from domestic sparks to offshore sparks who could offer some advice, direction and above all some hope! Got my heart set on making the move courses booked and paid for!!! any responses would be great.....

I was £736 including vat. Done it in Aberdeen at hightech. 5 days be expensive for hotel etc in Aberdeen midweek so would advice looking elsewhere for that

Got a lot a family in Aberdeen so no need for hotel etc, and am self employed at the moment so all cost of training can be off set against TAX etc. cheers I'll look into that.

Depends who u work for and what level u get too. My mate started on £19.50 he's on £30+ now.

What sort of work are you doing yourself?

I've just doing the ex inspection on the rope access. Add another £3 an hour when your on the ropes

I was thinking of doing the compEx course they don't have any centres in Ireland that do iit would u no of any good training centres? Are you looking for work yourself

I'm working offshore at the moment. Aset for your compex. Survival etc there is loads of company's doing special offers like pay over 6 months. Rope access hightech. All in Aberdeen. Expensive for digs in Aberdeen during the week so remember to price them up before booking your course or could get expensive
