hi, anybody done any courses here ? planning doing my 2330 and 2391 and nvq3 with them, ÂŁ5858 all in , lot of money but they are the closest to me ( only 157 miles away ). local college no use as you have to go through a firm to get in (select ) up here in scotland .any feedback welcome :)

Hi there

OLCI use them as an approved centre there proper name is Nationwide Training Services Nationwide Training Services - Offering execlent gas, oil and plumbing courses i would contact them direct to compare prices. I hope you have more luck than me i phoned them ages ago and was told someone would call me back, never got one so i decided on my way back from a job in Edinburgh to pop in. I spoke with the guy for a while and told him my that i wanted to get qualified as i had no qualifications, he could not find any info on his courses he offered (kinda sums them up really) and said he would email me them that was about 2 months ago guess what still waiting i dont know how they make money. So save your money mate i found a place a bit closer to Glasgow that does it for half the price Fi Electrical Training - Welcome.

cheers mate i`ll try them too , as for experience i`ve being a mate for a year and a half , the firm i work for took me on as a adult tranee , but now they are saying that they won`t put me to college so i`m kind of screwed as up here in scotland you have to go through select and a firm to get into college, its not like in england . :(

I know live near Glasgow myself and served my time here. Do the 2330 and 2382 course possibly pay yourself and see if the company will let you have the time off. at least your still earning.
I personally dont rate the select courses and not sure if you Have to go through them.
