Old chestnut

Out of interest John, what figure would you accept for a TT system?

Please don’t say ≤200Ω, I’ve not taken my medication yet.
Well we know what the regs say....the other day I had 193ohm on a TT (3/8 rod) not happy....swapped out for 2 x 5/8 joined, got to 27ohm....much happier!!

Actually you may well find that the .4 reading you took could well be 0.05 or more resistance lost in the test kit or resistance of the leads , or even the cabling, bet if the test was carried out across the main fuse it would be way lower , please do do that, it was a comment !!
I assume you mean don't....! wouldnt dream of ever cutting seals, its very very naughty despite my DNO training and MOCOPA qually.....

27Ω is not as good as 0.4Ω is it?

I really don’t know why you suggested making it TT.

go to "type mathematical symbols online". then select a symbol. copy and paste.

but do you know what tht TT stands for? no googling!
