old lightolier track compatibility

Hello,
I'm wondering if tracks that were installed 15-20 years ago, but maybe are even older, can accept modern fixtures, and if yes, what kind. I think, but am not sure, that the brand of the track is "Lightolier". I have some pictures, which I can make available, if someone thinks s/he might recognize the track type/model from them.

It's unlikely anything but the original type fixtures would fit.

Lightolier appear to still exist, there's a company in the USA advertising their products.

Some of the fixtures, and the connectors, look exactly like the ones I have, so I guess I really have a lightolier system.

Can anyone confirm that only lightolier fixtures can be used with the track?
