but OP said they were shuttered.
No I just meant that that was the issue I was enquiring about with regards to the socket being a non-shuttered type with exposed terminal.

but OP said they were shuttered.
Are you talking about the earth pin not being shuttered, that is not a problem as long as the other two are and I find it unlikely they are not.
No they are probably more durable than a modern MK socket.Yes, sorry for the confusion. So not even a C3 then?

and stop calling me Shirley.Yes but why, I agree with Tel the one in your pic does show signs of overheating but if the others are okay I would say they are fine surely they have shutters.
because little kiddies can poke all sorts into the pins especially the live one.
Bs 1363 for socket outlets require them to be of the shuttered type. The regs only ask for cover of live parts to IP2X.
Complain to Flameport then, it's one of his. Or maybe the camer lens is dirtyi'd code that socket outlet as CB..... Cillit Bang. needs a good clean.

Bs 7671 also makes referencing to other British standards that maybe of a safety risk so that's why I would not deem unshuttered sockets as acceptable
