As the title suggests, for those of us who have retired, or cut back on their working practices, taking into account drinking smoking and unrelated activities.
Myself I have become a volunteer for Age UK, although nothing much has come my way just yet, I have also expored the possibility of becoming a, wait for it, don't jump down my throat just yet, an Apprentice Smart Meter dual Service fitter, which I await a reply with anticipation, (as Tel would say Age is just a number) I'll keep you all posted, if you are interested.
It would be nice to know if there are any like minded Codgers out there who would like to share their twilight fantasies, Memories, anecdotes they would like to share, I myself have penned an article about my life as an Electrician, for which I am awaiting advice about publication, so if you oldies have some stories please share them on the Forum.

The Glass Spider tour (Manchester). It was really good. I like Soft Cell... Bronski Beat was another one... They were great to dance to... for some reason I always got lots of girls dancing round me..... (most prob to hide my sh*t dancing and not mentally scar everyone else in the place... Thought I'd put that in before anyone else does..:tearsofjoy:)
lol, when I saw Soft Cell Jimmy Somerville was in front off me giving it some moves as it wasn't a packed gig, saw No Doubt in some small venue just off Hanover square but that was a one off and only about 100 people, same as the Oasis gig at the BBC years back.

Saw Dave Dee, Dozy, Mick and Titch in Chippenham, the Beatles in Bath
UB 40 in Moscow
Stones in Bath
Go on you can all have a goo laugh now

Never did like UB40...
Neither did my Wife after they came into the Embassy shop scrounging food ( you couldn't get much in those days) Promising tour T shirts etc got about £70 quids worth of grub on her shop account, and never did come back with any stuff, Bluudy Yam Yams

That's f****g awful, that. Sorry - depress mode, never got it myself.

I think it's meant to make people think... It is meant to be depressing.. People being hurt or wanting to kill themselves is an unfortunate occurrence..
