Just do the flipping Job, your more than qualified, which is more than can be said for the bulk of so called part P sparks (who are Electrical Trainee's or kitchen fitters) and do a completion cert. There is nothing to stop your brother calling in a company in about 6 months and asking them to do a full T&I and then you have the NICEIC cert should it be needed...
The Part P rules stopping suitably qualified sparks from working in their or family home is ludicrous.
Good luck with the job, do remember to do an EIC after completion not just the EICR in a few months time.Thanks all, well getting on with tomorrow! As suggested i might just do an EICR in a month or so!
