I'm not keen on Meteor's website its probably the least intuitive and difficult to navigate. for online i still use TLC, good stock, good price quick turn around, i use a couple of locals, BEW and Electrifix as they are good for consumables.

I used to use local wholeseller all the time to get all my parts. Then the prices started getting stupid, orders never turned up on time, and I could easily spend an hour waiting for my order to be processed.

So I started using ‘Shop4electrical’ (used to be Discount Electrical) and I pretty much use them all the time now. You can see what you buy, all the prices are shown (handy when sending invoices), and they offer next day delivery too. Obviously you need to have a few days notice for job whilst the delivery arrives, but the prices are far cheaper than any the wholeseller could offer (inc delivery charges)!

The only down side is (unless you apply for a credit account), is that you have to pay upfront, but at least you know that the parts are paid for, and you haven’t got to wait for an invoice a month later.

Its worth getting the Electricfix catalogue for cheaper than Screwfix prices but still with next day delivery.
TLC are good for online orders and if your nearest branch does have something in stock they automatically move the order to whichever branch has everything in stock. And I have never known TLC somewhere to not have every item in stock, usually comes next day too.
