Hi guys

it just occured to me that im not sure if many people know this, so would like to make you all aware of a belting off peak tariff called option 14

My old boss used to work for manweb years ago which is how he knows about this belter!!

There is an off peak tariff called option 14

It is only available through scottish power, and it is an old tariff that was only available to manweb employees.

It is still available now to everyone altho nobodt seems to know about it and scottish power obviously dont advertise it

it is only available on request
option 14 - 14 hours of off peak electricity a day at a third of the price
2 hours in the afternoon 2 - 4pm and then 7pm till 7am
the beauty of this tarriff tho is that the whole house goes off peak during these times
without the need for seperate mains board
so an exsisting house with 1 'on peak board'
switch to this tariff and the whole house goes off peak during these times
just save the heated appliances heating till these times and you will save a mint!!!!!

scottish power
option 14!!!!!

good luck and happy saving!!!!!:)

Hi Lloyd1980 , just spoke on my question. The answer to your question is that option 14 was open to all customers not only employee's. Not sure on all there options now but i believe most energy provider's do a similar option 10. Only good if you want to do your washing and drying @ night i presume.

Scottish Power Electricity Option 14.
I have an Analogue electricity meter, would I need an additional meter or a dreaded Smart meter.
My intention is to have PV panels & battery storage, I need to be able to charge the battery at off peak rate during the Winter.
Then run off the battery during the day.

Ok, Scottish Power also do Economy 7, but I have an analogue meter, will I need an additional meter, otherwise how will they know how much to invoice at the cheaper rate.
